Valorant is an FPS game that was developed and published by Riot Games. It is considered one of the top FPS games globally and has a huge fan base. Valorant also boasts a well-structured esports ecosystem, and this is a result of the amazing gaming experience the game offers its players. Riot rolls out regular updates, new agents, cosmetics, and whatnot to keep the fan community of Valorant engaged. With a recent announcement made on Twitter, Riot has confirmed that the much-awaited Team Deathmatch mode will be coming to Valorant soon. Here are all the details you need to know about this upcoming mode in Valorant.
Team Deathmatch is coming to Valorant as a new mode
After the highly speculated mode was accidentally leaked in the January Dev Diary for Valorant, it was only time for us to finally have updates on its development. In the recent Dev Diary, Riot Games confirmed that a Team Deathmatch mode will be coming to Valorant.
- Although the Deathmatch mode already exists, all it does is put 10 players against one another in a game of free-for-all.
- The game is won by the first player reaching 40 kills.
- The new mode announced by Riot devs will have two teams of five go against each other.
- It will also feature custom maps that may be exclusive to this mode only.
Let’s dive deeper into it and figure out how this mode will differ from the already existing Deathmatch mode.
All details about the Team Deathmatch mode in Valorant
- The new Team Deathmatch will be the first game mode to allow CUSTOM Maps! Yes, you heard that right. Riot will release custom maps for Team Deathmatch mode for a better player experience.
- Unlike the already existing Deathmatch mode, players can use agent abilities in this new Team Deathmatch mode. However, it is not confirmed which agents will be available to play in this mode. Keep your eyes on this page, as we will update it with any fresh information that comes out.
- It is still to be confirmed whether weapons or agent abilities will receive a balance change, particularly for this mode.
- One problem this mode solves is how infuriating it was to die at spawn in the previous deathmatch mode. With team play being introduced in Deathmatch, this issue is likely to be solved.
Tip: We suggest you play Team Deathmatch mode/deathmatch in Valorant before joining Ranked as it will warm your reflexes up, and you will see a better performance in-game.
