Walmart announced that members of Walmart+ will be first in line for Black Friday offers this festive season. All through November, these patrons will be able to purchase sales online 4 hours before the rest of the public. Walmart is guessing that by giving that priority access, it will be able to increase its subscription; especially at a time when several holiday customers are already concerned about out-of-stocks due to worldwide supply chain issues.
“We continue to build Walmart+ to be the ultimate life hack for our customers… We’re excited for our Walmart+ members to be first in line for the hottest Black Friday deals out there.”
– Janey Whiteside, Chief Customer Officer – Walmart US
- All 3 November deals will begin online and then move into stores. The first sale begins at 7:00PM (ET) on November 3 and in stores at 5:00AM (local time) on November 5.
- The second begins online at 7:00PM (ET) on November 10 and in stores at 5:00AM (local time) on November 12.
- The schedules for the third sale were not issued by Walmart.
- The retail giant confirmed to USA TODAY that those on free subscription trials will not get priority access.
Walmart+ Membership
The yearly subscription fee is $99, or $12.95 on a month-to-month basis. Fuel markdowns, access to an application that lets members avoid the long lines, and free limitless grocery deliveries to the residence for transactions of $35 or more are all included. Walmart stated that their prime concern remains to be the protection of its shoppers and affiliates, and its “Black Friday Deals for Days” activities are tailored to be fun and secure.
