“Who is Neil Breen?” This is probably what moviegoers ask after his movie goes viral on TikTok. Well, it’s not because of its good storyline or cinematography. But because of its surprising film credits that almost feature only one name: Neil Breen. If you’re curious now, let’s find out more about him.
Who is Neil Breen?
If there are good movies, of course, there are bad ones. But some have already turned into “so bad it’s good,” including Neil Breen’s latest film, Cade: The Tortured Crossing.
Born in 1958, Breen is an American filmmaker and actor. He has written, directed, independently produced, and starred in seven feature movies since 2005. And though his films are made of lousy acting, writing, and editing, not to mention a low budget, he has still garnered a cult following.
The 64-year-old funds his films by getting side jobs as an architect and real estate agent. But after his following rapidly grew, he turned to crowdfunding to finance his work. He also uses Craigslist ads to look for his actors and negotiates with the theaters that screen his movies.

If those aren’t enough, Breen makes his films almost by himself, filling the roles of location manager, legal services, music, and even catering, among others. He has refused to work within mainstream Hollywood but has made a name for himself as an independent filmmaker.
This shows how Breen works hard to make it to the international movie scene. Sure, he’s often laughed at with the quality of his movies, but it cannot be denied that he has put his heart and soul into what he’s doing. And with these talks about him, good and bad, he has definitely made it.
Neil Breen’s Film Credits Goes Viral on TikTok
And to prove that Breen has already caught fans’ interest, which may have even gained him a new legion of followers, he’s now going viral on TikTok. Well, his film credits, that is.
In a post by @justinthescott, moviegoers could be seen cheering every time Breen’s name appeared on the screen. From music director, production designer, cinematography, editor, and sets and props, he did it all.
And that’s not all. He also worked as Cade: The Tortured Crossing’s special effects designer, location manager/location scout, production manager, casting, stunt coordinator, legal services, accounting services, and craft services. Honestly, it’s Neil Breen supremacy.

List of Neil Breen Films
Breen’s first feature film was the 2005 Double Down. It tells the story of a brilliant computer loner who conquers Las Vegas and the terrorist attack happening there. Next is I Am Here… Now. This 2009 film sees the almighty being who created man arrive on Earth in a human form after being disappointed by his creation.
His third film is the 2013 Fateful Findings. Here, Breen plays a computer scientist/novelist who reunites with his childhood friend. Not only that, but he also hacks government databases and faces dire consequences.

In addition, his fourth is the 2016 Pass Thru, where Breen is seen as the messianic entity who travels from the future to the present day to annihilate hundreds of millions of people. The fifth movie is the 2018 Twisted Pair, where identical twin brothers become hybrid AIs. For his sixth, 2020 Neil Breen’s 5 Film Retrospective, he shares his knowledge and how he makes movies almost on his own.
Lastly, his latest film, the 2023 Cade: The Tortured Crossing, Breen plays the role of an identical twin brother who restored an old mental asylum. If this movie couldn’t be any weirder, he manages to turn the patients into warriors of humanity and justice.
