Jonathan Majors’ accuser and former girlfriend, Grace Jabbari, will also face charges of assault following the domestic violence she accused the Marvel star of after his arrest in March. The case’s prosecutors revealed an unreported incident that involved London police, which they believed played an important role in the allegations.
For some context, Majors was arrested following misdemeanor charges after reportedly attacking his former partner, Jabbari. The latter claimed her ex hit and strangled her, though the strangulation charges were later dropped. The Creed III star is then only facing charges for hurting her arm.
What will happen to Jabbari?
In the latest update on Jonathan Majors’ case before his court appearance on October 25, prosecutors and police are reportedly considering charging Jabbari with domestic assault. The Office of the Deputy Commissioner, Public Information (DCPI) told The Messenger that it expected the English dancer to voluntarily report to the New York Police Department (NYPD) 10 precinct after the actor filed a counter-complaint against her in June.
A law enforcement source then revealed that Jabbari would receive a desk appearance ticket, which police issued to ask a suspect to make a court appearance to face charges.

For starters, Majors’ attorney, Priya Chaudry, has maintained her client’s innocence and even claimed that he was the victim of assault after Jabbari allegedly hurt him. “Bravely, Jonathan Majors laid bare to the NYPD the relentless, alcohol-fueled abuse he suffered at the hands of Grace Jabbari, an enduring nightmare in their relationship,” she told DailyMail in August.
Chaudry also said in June that the NYPD found “probable cause” to arrest Jabari after Majors submitted evidence of what happened that one fateful night. She then called out the District Attorney to “initiate proceedings” against Jabbari to hold her accountable for what she did. The legal prosecutor believed that having Majors arrested instead of Jabbari only highlighted “the racial bias” that had been happening in the criminal justice system.
Majors claimed a “violent and hysterical” Jabbari “slapped and scratched” him. At the same time, the latter accused him of hitting her face “with an open hand, causing substantial pain and a laceration behind her ear.” She also claimed that Majors grabbed her hand, which resulted in “swelling, bruising, and substantial pain to her finger,” and “put his hand on her neck,” which caused “bruising and substantial pain.”

An Alleged Unreported Incident
Meanwhile, in the new 115-page filing that Variety obtained, the prosecutors revealed they were trying to get a copy of a London Metropolitan Police report from September 2022. Though it remains to be seen what this report contains, it reportedly references medical care obtained by Jabbari at the time.
However, despite the charges Jabbari will face, the Manhattan D.A.’s office said in court filings on Tuesday via NBC News that the discussion has been over since September.

“On September 8, 2023, and September 12, 2023, the prosecution informed the NYPD that the People would decline to prosecute any charges brought by the NYPD against Ms. Jabbari related to the belated allegations made by defendant [Majors] regarding the incident on March 25, 2023,” the filing read.
The filing revealed that the Manhattan D.A.’s office told Jabbari’s attorney, Brad Edwards, on September 21 that they would not prosecute any NYPD charges against his client. That means Jabbari will not be prosecuted for any crime in this case.
The Effect of Jonathan Majors’ Case
Jonathan Majors and his career have been badly affected by the domestic assault filed against him. As one of the rising stars of today, leading several TV series and movies, and being part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, everything he has worked hard for has gone down the drain. Aside from his career, his reputation has also been torn apart.

His management and PR firms quickly dropped him, and his future in the Marvel series Loki and other projects remains unknown. Though there are different versions of this story, and it’s not yet revealed if Majors is guilty, it cannot be denied that the people and the public have already judged him without knowing what really happened, though there are some who still show support.
