Will League of Legends’ Bel’Veth Come to Wild Rift?

Bel’Veth will be the new addition to the League of Legends 159 champion pool. But, will Bel’Veth, The Empress of the Void be playable in Wild Rift?

League of Legends: Wild Rift

Wild Rift is League of Legends’ mobile version. It only has 79 or about half the champions available in-game compared to its PC version. Of these 79 heroes, Akshan, The Rogue Sentinel was the newest in terms of PC Version release dates. The champion was released last year 22nd of July 2021.

Riot will release Bel’Veth along with Patch 12.11 on the 8th of June 2022 in the PC Version. Unfortunately, there are still no announcements for Bel’Veth’s Wild Rift release. Thus, the answer, for now, is that Bel’Veth will not come to or be playable in Wild Rift.

Are we getting her sooner than the others? Well, that is not impossible since a relatively newer champion like Akshan is already in the game.

Will Bel’Veth fit in Wild Rift’s current Meta? Definitely. Fighters/Bruisers currently dominate the meta in Wild Rift. Being a Jungler/Fighter, with true damage in her ultimate ability, the empress could go toe-to-toe with them. Outplay potential is also possible with her mobility (although limited) and crowd control skills. Moreover, it can be played in the late game with its infinite attack speed scaling and skills with missing HP-based scaling.

While waiting, let us have a look at Bel’Veth’s Skills in League of Legends.

Bel’Veth, The Empress of the Void: Skills and Passive

Death in Lavender (Passive)

  • Bel’Veth’s following two attacks have increased attack speed after using an ability.
  • Every time Bel’Veth defeats a large monster or champion, The Empress earns permanent additional Attack Speed in the form of Lavender stacks.
  • No attack speed cap. To balance this, Bel’Veth’s attacks have reduced damage including on-hit effects and there is no additional attack speed bonus when level-ed up

Notes: This means that  Bel’Veth needs to be built as a Jungler to maximize its potential.

Void Surge – Q (Active)

  • Bel’veth dashes in one of four directions. Every direction has a separate cooldown which is affected by attack speed.

Notes: Using Q in the same direction almost instantaneously will require high attack speeds. Better positioning for the 2nd dash will help to go in the same direction. Using W effectively will reduce your directional dash cooldown.

Above and Below – W (Active)

  • Crowd control in the form of AOE knock-up and slow. Bel’Veth uses her tail to deal damage, slow, and knock up enemies when hit.
  • Above and below’s (W) reduce cooldown interaction to Void Surge (Q). If used within the Q’s dash direction, the directional dash will reduce its cooldown

Notes: Using W effectively will reduce your directional dash cooldown and can get you in or out of tight situations.

Royal Maelstrom – W (Active)

  • AOE attack strike barrage that scales with attack speed and enemies’ missing health.
  • Targets the lowest health enemy within the AOE skill.
  • Channeling skills with damage reduction and increased lifesteal.

Notes: This can be used when trying to mitigate damage from long-range attacks like Jinx ultimate (although evading with Q is ideal).

Endless Banquet – R (Active and Passive)

Passive
  • Once activated, Bel’Veth will deal additional True Damage every second attack which stacks infinitely.
  • Void Coral – Dropped by champions and Epic Monsters when killed
  • Voidier Void Coral – Dropped by epic monsters from the Void Like Rift Herald and Baron Nashor

Active

  • Consumes Void Coral upon activation transforms to her True Form, slows enemies, and deals an AOE damage thru an explosion. Damage scales based on enemies’ missing health.
  • Once activated, picking-up void corals dropped by Void Epic Monsters such as Rift Herald and Baron Nashor, grants extended True Form Duration and resurrect minions to be reborn who died in her presence. These minions will now be under her control as loyal Voidlings.
  • Under True Form, Bel’Veth has increased max HP, out-of-combat move speed, attack range, and total attack speed.
  • Void Surge (Q) allows wall dash under Endless Banquet (R).
