Pokemon GO studio, Niantic released on 17th April that they are partnering up with CAPCOM to release a new AR mobile game called “Monster Hunter”. Did you ever imagine while playing Pokemon GO, how would it feel to capture Monsters instead of Pokemon? Well, we will soon be able to experience this. But will these two AR games, Pokemon GO and Monster Hunter Now be connected? Come let’s find out.
Will Pokemon GO and Monster Hunter be connected?
Both the games share a lot of similarities, but we feel they would have their own universe. Alternatively, we do feel there can be a lot of events where both these games can come together. Considering their user experience and gameplay we wouldn’t be surprised to see a crossover in the future.
Monster Hunter Now Gameplay
Monster Hunter is Niantic’s biggest franchise and best seller. The franchise is so popular that it had a movie released in 2020. Considering, the popularity and success of their AR game Pokemon GO, Niantic is planning on merging these two and bringing a mobile AR game Monster Hunter Now.
The storyline is that the Monsters have somehow entered our world, and players will be able to encounter monsters, along with various resources, on a real-world map. There hasn’t been much information released on the gameplay but from the sources we have gathered, the game will have a similar gameplay to Monster Hunter.
- Players will be able to dodge and attack the monster.
- In addition, killing these monsters will earn in-game materials which will later be crafted for other items.
- The major part of the gameplay is that you will be able to hunt with your friends and the battles will only last for 75 seconds.
