You Can Now Play PC Games on Steam With Your DualSense Controller
Valve has added controller support for the DualSense in their latest Steam Client Beta. This means you can now play controller-supported PC games on Steam with your PS5 DualSense controller.
Since there are no PC games right now with DualSense compatibility on Steam that supports the advanced features of the controller, you won’t be able to experience rumble, gyro, or even haptic feedback. These should, however, arrive very soon.
Steam’s notes say –
- Added initial input support for the PS5 DualSense controller. Advanced features such as rumble, trackpad, and gyro are not yet supported.
Not just that, the new Xbox Series X controller is also supported on Steam.
Under Steam Input, currently, you can use any direct input gamepad and the following –
- Steam Controller
- DualSense Controller
- Switch Pro Controller
- PlayStation 4 Controller
- Xbox 360 Controller
- Xbox One / Xbox Series S|X Controllers
- Any generic XInput Controller
