The Mandalorian: Complete First and Second Seasons finally getting a Blu-Ray release

Three years after the first season aired, Disney quenches the thirst of Star Wars fans with the announcement that Star Wars: The Mandalorian TV series will be finally getting the much-awaited physical release. With that, the first two seasons of The Mandalorian will be out in Blu-Ray and 4K Ultra High Definition editions. The critically acclaimed Star Wars spinoff series will join MCU shows like Loki Season 1 and WandaVision as Disney’s first wave of physical releases. Loki will be released on September 28 and then followed by WandaVision two months later, on November 28. Meanwhile, The Mandalorian seasons 1 and 2 are slated for a Steel Book release on December 12, 2023.

What’s inside The Mandalorian Steel Book edition?

Although the complete information about the content of the Steel book hasn’t been shared by Disney yet, we can assume that the physical releases will feature each episode in 4K UHD and standard Blu-ray formats. Also, this will include collectible concept art cards, all-new bonus feature content, and special steel book packaging featuring illustrations. However, Disney gave us a first look at the said Steel Book editions (see below).

Where to buy The Mandalorian Steel Book edition

Hold your horses! The physical copies of The Mandalorian seasons 1 and 2 won’t be out until December 12. However, you can pre-order The Mandalorian, Loki, and WandaVision starting August 28. Avid fans can keep their eyes on Blu-Ray, Amazon, or Best Buy. As of this writing, the price of the Steel Book edition is still unknown. The Mandalorian Seasons 1 and 2

The Mandalorian a Star Wars live-action TV created by Jon Favreau tells the story of the infamous armored bounty hunter, Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal). Together with the fan-favorite Grogu (Baby Yoda), Din Djarin traverses the outer reaches of the galaxy. Basically, the first season was set five years after the events of the Return of the Jedi (1983). Season 1, which has 8 episodes, was heavily praised by viewers.

Meanwhile, Season 2 featured the anticipated appearance of another famed bounty hunter, Boba Fett (Temuera Morrison), and of course, the Jedi Master himself, Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill). Furthermore, The Mandalorian Seasons 1 through 3 can be streamed on Disney+. But, if you’re looking for more Star Wars spinoffs, you can also watch Andor, The Book of Boba Fett, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Ahsoka (which was just recently released on August 22).
