Avalanche Software has released a new trailer for Hogwarts Legacy
To get fans more and more hyped for the release of Hogwarts Legacy, a cinematic trailer was posted on their official YouTube channel. In the cinematic trailer, fans caught a glimpse of what to expect in the game. From the types of enemies you encounter to locations you can visit, it definitely has us excited!
Although the cinematic trailer does not show gameplay, it’s still enough to hype up wizards and witches from all over. The trailer is just 1 minute and 20 seconds long, but fans are expecting big things coming from Hogwarts Legacy.
- We see Hogwarts from the point of view of an owl. In the beginning, it needs to deliver a letter somewhere. From there, it takes to the skies and soars through Hogwarts’ halls and grounds.
- At one point in the trailer, we hear students converse with a certain Professor Weasley. Although this was kept under wraps, we finally had a chance to meet this Professor Weasley when the game’s voice cast was revealed. It turns out that even though Harry Potter and his friends do not exist yet in Hogwarts Legacy, the Weasleys are highly esteemed wizards.
- After that, the owl passes through locations like the Forbidden Forest. Students from Hogwarts appear to fight off creatures like Acromantula and dragons. It continues on its path until it passes dark wizards trying to hit it with Avada Kedavra.
An unknown character receives the owl’s package
As the owl successfully evades the curses cast its way, it emerges into a place that looks modern (for its time). Then, it continues flying until finally, the letter lands in the hands of an unknown character. From the looks of it, the individual who received the letter appears to be our main character.
That’s where the latest trailer for Hogwarts Legacy ends. When players start their adventure in Hogwarts Legacy, it’s important to remember that you will be a fifth-year student. There is no explanation yet as to why this is, but the devs did give a little hint to interested players a while back.
“Players will get to experience what it was like for Harry starting at a new wizarding school and knowing no one at all. And, like Harry, the player’s character is a bit of a celebrity from the outset due to the fact that they are starting as a fifth-year and because they survived a—”
What our character survived is unknown as of now. But it appears that we will be the Harry Potter of Hogwarts during this time period, and we’re more than excited to learn more about our character’s past!
