All Pseudo-Legendary Pokemon

Pseudo-legendary Pokemons have powers that are significantly more powerful than regular pokemon. Here are all the Pseudo-Legendary Pokemon

Pokemon: Pseudo-Legendary

The term Pseudo-legendary is coined by the community which means that these pokemon have higher base stats compared to regular Pokemon. Each of these Pseudo Legendaries has a total base stat of 600 before their Mega Evolutions. Additionally, these pseudo-legendaries have 3 evolution forms and some have mega evolutions.

Dragonite

  • The very first pseudo-legendary is Dragonite, a Dragon and also a Flying Pokemon. Moreover, Dragonite was first introduced in Generation I. Its base evolution is Dratini which evolves into Dragonair and finally to Dragonite. In the anime series, Ash was also able to catch a newly evolved Dragonite in the episode A Test in Paradise.

Tyranitar

  • Generation II has its own pseudo-legendary in the form of Tyranitar, a Rock at the same time Dark Pokemon. Tyranitar evolves from Larvitar whose base evolution is Pupitar.  Additionally, a Tyranitarite can be used to Mega Evolve into a Mega Tyranitar. The pseudo-legendary has also appeared in the movie Titled Celebi: a Timeless Encounter.

Salamence

  • For Generation III, Salamence, another Dragon/Flying-type like Dragonair, is introduced. Its base evolution Bagon evolves into Shelgon which finally evolves into Salamence. Using a Salamencite can evolve Salamence into its Mega Form, Mega Salamence. In the anime Pokémon the Series: Diamond and Pearl., Salamence also appeared as the Pokemon of the major antagonist, Hunter J.

Metagross

  • Also a Generation III Pokemon, Metagross fits into the pseudo-legendary status. Starts as Beldum which evolves into a Metang and then finally into a Metagross. This iron-leg Steel/Psychic Pokemon can also evolve into its Mega Form using a Metagrossite. The anime series also presents Metagross in its shiny version belonging to Steven, the Champion of Hoenn Region’s Pokemon League.

Garchomp

  • Moving to our next pseudo-legendary is Garchomp who is also a Dragon-type Pokemon introduced in Generation IV. Its second element is Ground, unlike Salamence and Dragonite which were Flying-type. Gible as its base form evolves into a Gabite which finally transforms into a Garchomp. Moreover, its Mega Form requires a Garmchopite to evolve. Garchomp is the main Pokemon of Cynthia, Champion of the Sinnoh Region, in the anime series.

Hydreigon

  • The pseudo-legendary introduced in GenerationV is another Dragon-type Pokemon but its second element is Dark-type. Hydreigon starts from Deino and then evolves into a Zweilous which finally transforms into Hydreigon. In the anime, a character named Carlita owns a Hydreigon. More importantly, Carlita lives in Eindoak Town and introduces Ash to Victini, a Guardian Pokemon of Eindoak Town.

Goodra / Hisuian Goodra

  • More Dragon-type pseudo Legendary, Goodra is introduced in Generation VI. Goodra can only evolve during rain in Generation VI while Generation VII only allows it to evolve during fog. Its pre-evolution is Sliggoo while its base evolution is Goomy. In Pokemon Legends Arceus, Goodra is a Steel/Dragon-type Pokemon in its regional form (Hisui Region). In the Anime, Ash used Goodra in major events while releasing it for the same reason several times. Although, Goodra ultimately came back as he went on to compete in Kalos League.

Kommo-o

  • The Dragon/Fighting-type Pokemon Kommo-o made its appearance in Generation VIII. It has a base form named Jangmo-o which evolves into a Hakamo-o. Kommo-o’s major anime series appearance is under the control of Cynthia, Champion of Sinnoh Region, who also owns Garmchop.

Dragapult

  • This Stealth Pokemon, Dragapult, is a Dragon and also Ghost-type Pokemon introduced in Generation VIII. Additionally, this is the latest pseudo-legendary in Pokemon. Its base form is Dreepy which then evolves into a Drakloak. Moreover, Leon, the strongest Pokemon Trainer in the world, owns a Dragapult used to defeat a Gigantamax Coalossal.
