Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes shared their relationship journey in the Tuesday episode of Amy and T.J. Podcast on iHeartRadio. The couple reflected on the beginning of their romance, revealing how they met and eventually fell in love on the set of GMA3: What You Need to Know, which they co-hosted before they were fired because of their off-cam relationship. The two even revealed their marriage plans—or if they will even tie the knot.

The Start of Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes’ Romance

T.J. Holmes revealed, via People, that something different was brewing between him and Amy Robach during the summer of 2022.

He revealed that they only “tiptoed” around it and didn’t want to say anything, but things changed when they started talking. Robach added they were already spending too much time together at work that they didn’t want it to end.

They would even look forward to working together instead of their rest days. “I remember us both saying, ‘Oh, Fridays are a bummer,’” she said. Usually, people would be excited about the weekends off, but she was more thrilled about Monday and returning to work.

Will Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes Tie the Knot?

Meanwhile, Amy Robach gamely answered a fan question if she and T.J. Holmes would be tying the knot.

Though she didn’t directly answer the question, she revealed marriage is “under consideration.” The 50-year-old reporter explained that they didn’t enter their relationship for fun or to try things out but because they both intended to spend their lives together.

“So, whether or not we have some sort of legal, you know, I don’t know, button on it,” she continued.

Robach and Holmes were still married to their respective spouses, Andrew Shue and Marilee Fiebig, when they started their romance. However, the two have now since divorced.

That said, the 20/20 co-anchor proclaimed that marriage isn’t something they’re rushing to do as they both have two marriages under their belts. Despite that, she still desires to do so, wanting to spend the rest of her life with Holmes.

“I can say that. It’s on the table. It’s on the table,” she added.

Alternatively, Holmes has a different answer to the fan’s question. Compared to Robach, he’s itching to marry her because she’s 50 and he’s 46, making him feel sick that he’s introducing a 50-year-old woman as his girlfriend, finding it sounding “stupid.”

Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes’ romance may have started controversially, but the two weathered the storm and proved their love for each other. They both had divorces and were fired from the work they loved to do. Despite that, they still stand strong together, often discussing their romance and even considering getting married. Though it may not happen now, it may eventually occurr.
