Assassin’s Creed Valhalla fans have big reason to be excited as it’s upcoming DLC release date might have accidentally been released by Windows Store. The DLC was revealed to be Seige of Paris sometime back. Since then, fans are eagerly waiting for more updates, including its release date.
Release Date
While searching for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla: Seige of Paris, a fan bumped on to its release date on Windows Store. He immediately took a picture of his screen and posted it on Twitter. It was later posted by @criptiAssassini, a fan account for Assassin’s Creed series. In the picture, the date was clearly mentioned as 5th August 2021 which is less than two weeks away now.
“Sail to the war-torn kingdom of Francia and besiege the fortified city of Paris! Fight the merciless forces of Charles the Fat and form strategic alliances to safeguard your clan’s future. Get the season pass now to enjoy The Seige of Paris on August 5th”, the screenshot of Window’s Store read.
It was earlier revealed by Ubisoft, that the Seige of Paris expansion would feature “black box missions,” which task protagonist Eivor with an objective in Paris. It puts no restrictions on the player in terms of how they complete said objectives.
Is it Reliable?
As expected, the listing was quickly taken down, hinting at something shady. It could have been posted accidentally and Windows Store has done so on many occasions before as well. If that’s not the case then, it’s possible the August 5 listing merely served as a placeholder date.
But the thing is that August 5 sounds fitting for an expansion release because a placeholder generally comes near the beginning of fall. Also, August 5 is Thursday and most DLCs and expansions release on Thursday, including Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s very own Wrath of the Druids DLC.
So, it looks pretty convincing to us and is enough to excite us. But for now, we’ll have to wait until we hear confirmation or denial from Ubisoft. Till then, there is still plenty of time to enjoy Assassin’s Creed Valhalla: Wrath of the Druids DLC. Rest assured, we will all be hearing from Ubisoft about Seige of Paris real soon.
