BLACKPINK Jennie leaves mid-concert in Melbourne due to health condition Latest update

BLACKPINK continues to dominate the globe with their BORN PINK World Tour. Almost a week ago, member Jisoo had to sit out on their Osaka Concert due to COVID-19. A few days after, the four-member girl group headed to Australia for their Melbourne BORN PINK Concert. In the most unfortunate turn of events, BLACKPINK Jennie leaves mid-concert in Melbourne due to her health condition. Here’s the latest update we have for you about the tour and member’s condition.

Is Kim Jennie Doing Better After The Show Incident?

After leaving mid-concert of their Day 2 concert in Melbourne, Australia, Jennie updated BLINKs on Instagram of her condition on June 13. BLACKPINK’s main rapper apologized to Melbourne BLINKs for being unable to finish the show. Nonetheless, she assured their fans that she’s ‘doing her best to recover at this moment.’

No further news yet about her condition, but we hope Jennie, along with other BLACKPINK members, are taking their time to rest and recharge. The Pinks, as their fandom calls the members, has two more shows coming up on June 16 to 17 in Sydney.

  • Details of whether BLACKPINK Jennie could perform remain unknown as of this writing. We hope to hear from YG about further announcements on her condition. We hope for her speedy recovery.

What Happened At Their Recent BORN PINK Concert?

During BLACKPINK’s Lovesick Girls, Jennie unexpectedly walks out of their performance. The three remaining members, Jisoo, Rosé, and Lisa, continued on stage. YG Entertainment released an official statement about Jennie’s current condition and what happened to her mid-concert.

The agency shared the news on BLACKPINK’s Weverse. They wrote, “JENNIE was unable to complete the stage due to her deteriorating condition.” YG apologized to the fans who came and supported the concert and the girls.”We kindly ask for your understanding in this situation,” they added.

BLACKPINK Jennie wished to pursue and complete the event. However, taking the medical advice on site, she had to sit out for the rest of the performances. The 27-year-old expressed her regret and assured fans of recovering quickly. Meanwhile, the BORN PINK in Melbourne attendees showed their love and support for Jennie as she stepped out of the performance.

The Girl Group’s Schedules

BLACKPINK has been around the globe since last year for their BORN PINK World Tour. Along with this, the members have been active with their solo schedules. Jisoo dropped her first solo album in March 2023, while Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa became busy with their fashion events. The group made history (and a lot of noise on social media, too) at Coachella as its first K-pop headliner in April.

  • After their Australia shows, the Encore shows of the BLACKPINK BORN PINK World Tour continue in July 2023. Paris, New Jersey, San Francisco, Las Vegas, and Los Angeles BLINKs must prepare for another round of BLACKPINK in your area!

Moving to Jennie’s schedule, she first appeared at the Cannes Film Festival in May 2023. The BLACKPINK member wore an all-Chanel look on the festival’s red carpet. Jennie’s portrayal of Dyanne in HBO’s The Idol marks her acting debut. She joins the lead stars, Lily Rose-Depp and The Weeknd, in this controversial HBO series.
