The Weverse application has been home to numerous K-pop groups and idols. On this platform, idols can freely communicate with their followers through posts, livestreams, and even replying to their fans. BTS Jungkook is one of the idols frequently visiting the application to interact with ARMYs. On June 12, Jungkook held a Weverse livestream, and to the ARMYs’ surprise and adoration, BTS’ golden maknae fell asleep for more than 20 minutes. This sparked a whole lot of reactions on Twitter from their fans.
Jungkook goes live on Weverse
In the early 7 AM in South Korea, BTS Jungkook began his Weverse livestream. Sleepy and lying in bed, Jeon Jungkook welcomed ARMYs. He slowly raised his head as he saw the live starting, greeting their fans, “안…녕” [Romanized: an…nyeong; English: he…llo], and chuckles after. With all of Jungkook’s livestream on Weverse, this could be the most adorable live we have witnessed.
- Before heading into dreamland, Jungkook read ARMYs’ comments on his live, answered some questions, and shared his thoughts. He stayed most of the time on his beloved bed. For more than 20 minutes, Jungkook was awake and talking to ARMYs.
The maknae keeps yawning and rolling on the bed. At one point, he even wore his glasses, which we think made ARMYs squeal about how handsome Jungkook was. When the live passed the 20-minute mark, there were more instances that Jungkook probably fell asleep shortly and then talked again.
- However, when his live reached around 24 minutes, we can see a peacefully sleeping Jeon Jungkook. He held the same position for 21 long minutes, and ARMYs couldn’t contain their reactions and headed to Twitter. A whopping six million viewers tuned into Jungkook’s Weverse livestream to see him asleep.
Despite being known to have extended hours of live, Jungkook’s recent stream only ran for 45 minutes and 36 seconds, as it was apparently cut off. At 1:30 PM KST, Jungkook was assumed to have woken up from sleeping and posted a cute ‘ㅎ’ on Weverse. This could mean a cute laugh or expression, and pretty sure ARMYs smiled at this notification.
Fans’ Reactions on Twitter
Jungkook’s name was once again trending all over Twitter due to his sleeping livestream. ARMYs brought all of their reactions to Twitter about how the BTS member just slept comfortably. In the earlier part of the stream, Jungkook said that if he fell asleep during the live, it would probably make the company wild.

Some fans couldn’t help but think about their parasocial relationship with BTS Jungkook with all the times he went live. When the 25-year-old idol deleted his Instagram, Jungkook became very much active in the Weverse application. He sang for fans, shared with them his hobbies, went to the gym, and now even showed his cuddly and sleepy self.

While others just adored the maknae during the whole live. Many clips were reposted on Twitter, and with just a search of ‘jungkook,’ you’ll be flooded with them. Jungkook’s habit with his eyeglasses, him trying to find the best position to sleep on his pillow, and everything you missed on the live is on the blue-bird app.
