Some exciting developments about Call of Duty might just have been leaked and it’s our duty to bring let you know about it. Earlier, Activision announced that it is working on a sequel for the popular gaming franchise. The installment which might be called Vanguard will probably release this year. No official details of the game have been revealed yet, but we surely have some leaks and rumors regarding it.
The Leak
Industry insider Alaix COD recently took to Twitter and shared an interesting audio clip. The clip offers some clues about the official reveal of the upcoming “COD” installment.
- One could hear a call warning the listener about an incoming assault by AC-130, which is an iconic armored gunship that has been featured in Modern Warfare 2.
- This led fans to speculate that Activision might be planning to involve the gunship in the official reveal of Call of Duty 2021.
- The insider also said, “Vanguard reveal on WZ is going to be INSANE, just saying.”
- It seems like Call of Duty: Warzone would play a crucial role in the game’s official launch
- Another leaker claims that they found a clip that said the line “A bomb’s been planted on our ammo supply.”
How True Is It?
We have seen a lot of leaks regarding a variety of games being confirmed earlier. But at the same time, we have seen a double amount of them being untrue. When it comes to this particular leak, we can trust an industry insider but who can say for sure? It could just be something to mislead the fans, or it could actually be true. If it is to be believed, COD Warzone will have an important role in the next installment’s release.
Talking about the second leak, the line they claimed to have heard is from Call of Duty WW2. This does match with an earlier leak which suggested that Call of Duty: Vanguard will be set in the World War 2 era. When so many leaks align with each other, we can be sure something related might happen. But again, they could be untrue, and we’ll have to wait for some official information from Activision.
