At the end of its first week in Early Access, the co-op survival game for up to eight players produced by Pugstorm sold 250,000 units. So how do you play Core Keeper? And why is it a hit? Let’s take a look!

Core Keeper, a great multiplayer survival game for up to 8 people that managed to storm Steam in just a short period (via PC Gamer). The game draws inspiration from other successful games like Terraria, Stardew Valley, Valheim, and even Minecraft. According to the developer and production teams, the indie game sold over 100,000 copies within the first 48 hours of its release last March.

There was a noticeable increase in player traffic over the span of the two weeks after the game’s debut.

  • The game’s creators claim that more biomes, bosses, and game features will be included in the final launch.
  • However, the early access build they’ve published is totally playable and polished enough that you won’t encounter any major bugs while playing.
  • A link to its Steam page is available below, where you can see screenshots and read some of Core Keeper’s “very positive” early reviews.

Playing Core Keeper

There are a lot of different gameplay concepts in Core Keeper. You may do everything from exploring, to mining, to fishing, farming, and cooking in this all-in-one game.

For those of you who have played closely related games, you’ll recognize many of the game’s activities: breaking through walls to develop new caves and scavenging for assets and materials that can later be turned into weapons, armor, and tools; building bases out of tree roots; fishing in small ponds; battling a variety of creatures; and so on.

I'm also drawn to the suspenseful atmosphere of horror games and the intricate narratives of crime-themed titles, bringing a unique perspective to my writing. Beyond gaming, I have a fascination with anything unexplained and chilling, a passion that often spills over into my exploration of horror games. When I'm not engrossed in a virtual world, you can find me curled up and spending time with my adorable doggy sidekick, Teemo.
