Crunchyroll Anime Awards 2023, how did it turn up?
The recipients of the 2023 Anime Awards, which recognize the best anime shows, voice actors, animators, and creators of the previous year, have been revealed by Crunchyroll.
- The Grand Ceremony in Tokyo has just concluded, and the Crunchyroll livestream was a resounding success, with over 13,000 viewers on YouTube alone.
- The highest accolade was presented to Cyberpunk: Edgerunners which was a joint production of Studio Trigger, CD Projekt, and Netflix.
Who hosted Crunchyroll Anime Awards 2023?
Sally Amaki and Jon Kabira hosted the live stream, which included several musical performances and special guest appearances, such as Finn Wolfhard, Sykkuno, and Valkyrae. The Anime Awards had a total of 22 awards up for grabs.

CyberPunnk Edgerunners was The Cyberpunk 2077 spinoff, which was created by Rafal Jaki (known for The Witcher: Ronin). It was directed by Hiroyuki Imaishi (renowned for Gurren Lagann and Promare) and emerged as one of Netflix’s most impressive originals last autumn.
- The Best New Anime award for the show was won by Spy x Family, an obvious favorite that outperformed other contenders such as Call of the Night, Lycoris Recoil, My Dress-Up Darling, and Ya Boy Kongming!
- Although Attack on Titan, which won Best Anime last year, fell short in the major categories with Part 2, it managed to sneak into several minor categories, including Best Drama and Best Opening sequence (which it won).
Zach Aguilar was also awarded Best Voice Acting Performance for his portrayal of David in the show.
It is also notable that Demon Slayer Entertainment District Arc won both The Best Animation and Best Anime Character Design.
