Behaviour Interactive has unveiled the full details on the newest Dead by Daylight chapter featuring the iconic Alien franchise. The Stealthy Xenomorph Stalks From Below
The Xenomorph killer introduces an innovative new ability called Hidden Pursuit. Scattered across the map are 7 Control Stations that allow the Xenomorph to enter a labyrinth of underground tunnels.
- Using the tunnels lets the Xenomorph quickly traverse the map and detect nearby survivors.
- Exiting a Control Station also tags survivors with Killer Instinct, revealing their location.
- The tunnels provide an ominous new layer to each map, as the Xenomorph can literally pop up from below at any time.
Use Runner Mode For Stealth Kills: The Xenomorph’s Runner Mode activates automatically when not on cooldown. The Xenomorph becomes extremely stealthy on all fours and shrinks its Terror Radius. This allows the Xenomorph to sneak up on survivors for a brutal tail attack.
To counter the Xenomorph’s mobility, survivors can activate Remote Flame Turrets that stun the killer and disable Runner Mode. But the Xenomorph can fight back and destroy the turrets as well.
Powerful Xenomorph Perks
The Xenomorph also comes with three new killer perks:
- Ultimate Weapon – Opening lockers cause nearby survivors to scream and reveal their positions for 30 seconds.Â
- Rapid Brutality – You can no longer gain Bloodlust. Hitting a Survivor with a basic attack gives you 5% haste for 8/9/10 seconds.
- Alien Instinct – This perk activates when you hook a Survivor. You see the aura of the farthest injured Survivor for 5 seconds, and that Survivor is oblivious for 16/18/20 seconds.
Ripley’s Survival Perks
The iconic Ellen Ripley is the new survivor. She has plenty of tricks to evade the Xenomorph threat. Her main perk, Lucky Star, lets her hide silently in lockers while revealing the generator and survivor aura when you leave the locker.
Other perks include:
- Chemical Trap – This perk activates after completing 70%/60%/50% progress on any generator. While standing next to a dropped pallet, press the Active Ability Button 2 to install a Trap, which stays active for 100/110/120 seconds. The aura of trapped pallets is revealed in yellow to all Survivors. When the Killer performs the break action on the trapped pallet, the trap explodes, and they are slowed by 50% for 4 seconds.
- Light Footed – When you are healthy, this perk activates. Your running footsteps are silent. This perk goes on cool-down for 28/24/20 seconds after doing a rushed action.
Ripley has the ability to outwit the Xenomorph and become a veteran survivor. Dead by Daylight is renowned for its terrifying killer gameplay, and the Xenomorph looks set to become one of the scariest yet. Its ability to stealthily strike from any angle ratchets up the tension big time. Ripley and her perks should provide clever ways to evade attacks and turn the tables.
