BY JC Paredes 5 years AGO 2 MIN READ

Bungie has announced that a new patch for Destiny 2 will be released later today, July 6th, 2021. If you reside in the United States, the patch will be available at 10:00AM PST (1:00PM EST).

Patch Notes 2.23

EXPUNGE
Styx
  • Resolved a concern where the Codestrider platform above the boss failed to collide in certain situations.
Tartarus
  • In some circumstances, a Codestrider platform would fail to collide.
  • Fixed a bug that prevented mission completion if the boss was defeated before the second immunity phase.
STRIKES
Inverted Spire
  • Gamers who were killed in the drill area had their Ghosts show up in the strike.
  • The Ghosts are now appearing in designated safe areas throughout the drill area.
MOMENTUM CONTROL
Trace Rifle
  • Dev Note: While we know Trace Rifles are too hot, we are also aware that some players are greatly enjoying “laser tag” in Momentum right now. With that in mind, we’re starting out with a small change to see how that feels before taking another pass.
GAMEPLAY
  • Solved a problem where Slow duration from Withering Blade did not increase with Whisper of Durance Fragment equipped.
  • Stormcaller Warlocks could no longer use Ionic Blink while decelerated by Stasis.
  • Repaired an issue where a Glacier Grenade could be used to create a Diamond Lance when thrown into a pile of Telesto projectiles.
  • When guarding, a few bugs were resolved that caused skills to not cost Sentinel Shield energy correctly:
    • Celestial Fire, Withering Blade, Shiver Strike, Glacial Quake, Silence & Squall

Since March 2021, I've worn two hats at Spiel Times: a writer and a Managing Editor. In my writing role, I've earned recognition from Wikipedia and Nev Schulman (Catfish TV Show host) for my insightful analysis and engaging narrative style. I'm passionate about all things gaming, with a keen eye for detail and a knack for uncovering hidden secrets within games. My gaming journey began at a young age, captivated by titles like Resident Evil and Tomb Raider. Today, I enjoy exploring open-world RPGs and MMORPGs, consumed by their lore and crafting theories about their narratives. I'm also drawn to the suspenseful atmosphere of horror games and the intricate narratives of crime-themed titles, bringing a unique perspective to my writing. Beyond gaming, I have a fascination with anything unexplained and chilling, a passion that often spills over into my exploration of horror games. When I'm not engrossed in a virtual world, you can find me curled up and spending time with my adorable doggy sidekick, Teemo. As Managing Editor, I'm committed to fostering a collaborative and supportive environment for our writing team. I communicate openly with my team members, addressing any content-related issues and providing guidance to help them excel.
