Improvements to Helltides, Whispers, and Loot Rewards

The updates to Helltides and Whispers focus on making these events more rewarding and the loot rewards have been significantly improved as well.

Infernal Hordes

The Infernal Hordes is a new activity in this season where players face endless waves of Hell’s Legions in the Realm of Hatred. An Infernal Compass is needed to enter the Realm of Hatred and can be obtained by defeating endgame bosses, participating in Helltide events, or completing Nightmare Dungeons.

The Infernal Hordes consists of 90-second waves at the end of which players will have a choice where they need to choose between three Infernal Offers which can either be a boon or a bane.

Players will have to choose between different bonuses and penalties which adds an extra layer to the run during Infernal Hordes. Some instances of bonuses include increased damage to elites or getting additional resources from slaying enemies. It is crucial to balance the risk and reward to maximize the earnings and survive the difficulty of waves.

Burning Aether and Spoils of Hell

Burning Aether can be obtained by defeating the Aether Fiends and Lords and by destroying Aetheric Mases and Soulspires as well. Players may use this item on various rewards known as Spoils of Hell. Four types of Spoils of Hell are available as follows:

  • Spoils of Equipment
  • Spoils of Materials
  • Spoils of Gold
  • Spoils of Greater Equipment

Infernal Compass

The Infernal Compass is an essential component for accessing the Infernal Hordes. The eight tiers of Infernal Compass available in the game are:

  • Tier I-III: Available at World Tier III, starting with five waves
  • Tier IV-VI: Available at World Tier IV, having bonus affixes and increased difficulty
  • Tier VII-VIII: Requires level 100 and offers the best rewards and items

Battle Fell Priests

The Fell Priests await the players who pass through the Infernal Hordes. These Priests were once noble however, now serve for the demons they once opposed.
