104 days of summer will be returning on our screens for another fun filled adventures of Phineas and Ferb’s amazing inventions. The creator of the original series, Dan Povenmore, has reportedly signed a deal with Disney Branded Television to revive the beloved Disney cartoon. Ayo Davis, president of Disney Branded Television, announced during the Television Critics Association winter press tour that the fan-favorite animated series will be given 40 episodes. Additionally, it will be split into two seasons.
“Dan is renowned for his ability to create universally beloved stories and characters with both heart and humor,” said Davis. “We couldn’t be happier to continue our collaboration with him and bring back the iconic ‘Phineas and Ferb’ in a big way.”
With the confirmation of the return of the iconic brother-duo of Phineas and Ferb also comes the news that Povenmire’s latest show “Hamster and Gretel” will also be returning for a second season.

Science in Action: Phineas and Ferb are back at it again!
Phineas and Ferb are the titular brothers in the show that both love creating spectacular things from nothing that defy science. What’s even hilarious is that, although they are doing all of these out of boredom, they always managed to never get caught by their parents. Even with their big sister Candace’s intervention, everything seems to go the brothers’ way.
The revival may just like how the original went. Get ready for Phineas and Ferb to take over your summer and every new Dr. Doofenschmirtz-inator!
Where can I watch the new Phineas and Ferb?
The Disney Branded Television have projects in Disney Channel, Disney+, Disney Junior, and Disney XD. It may probably air on Disney+ since it’s the most popular streaming platform they have right now and some of their new shows are highlighted there. Also, it may be shown across all the mentioned platforms. Either way, we are definitely sure we’ll be seeing Phineas and Ferb in any of these.

Release date and cast
There is no release date announced yet. At this point, the project’s release is still unclear. However, Dan Povenmire is working with fellow co-creator Jeff “Swampy” Marsh which means the show could be well underway. Plus, the original voice actors of Phineas (Vince Martella) and Ferb (Dee Bradley Baker) have confirmed their return which is great news to everybody.
The original Phineas and Ferb was released on Disney Channel in 2008 and concluded in 2012. It later returned for more episodes on Disney XD and received two films:
- “Phineas and Ferb the Movie: Across the 2nd Dimension”
- and “Phineas and Ferb the Movie: Candace Against the Universe.”
