The latest PlayStation State of Play revealed new titles coming to their platforms. Additionally, they gave excited fans updates on previously-announced titles like Valkyrie and Returnal. But it won’t be long until we get to play these titles for ourselves, with most of these titles expected to drop later this year.
Here’s a quick recap on the PlayStation State of Play event
Exoprimal
Exoprimal is the latest game from Capcom. Players need to face off against waves of dinosaurs in this fast-paced action game. There is a disclaimer for an online multiplayer feature in the trailer. So, it’s safe to say that you can battle dinosaurs with the help of your fellow “Exopilots.” Furthermore, each player can choose from five exosuits with their unique abilities.
Exoprimal is set to launch on the PlayStation 4 & PlayStation 5 in 2023.
Ghostwire: Tokyo
Trailers for Ghostwire: Tokyo have been around for a while now. But in the newest one from the State of Play event, players get a better look at the gameplay. We can see the combat system in action as they feature different kinds of enemies players will fight along the way.
Ghostwire: Tokyo is available for pre-order on March 25th for the PlayStation 5 and PC.
Valkyrie Elysium
Because Square Enix develops this, everyone’s hopes are high for the next entry in the Valkyrie series. In Valkyrie Elysium, you play as Valkyrie, who sets out on a journey to save the world. And the combat system looks similar to games like Bayonetta and Devil May Cry from the trailer. Finally, you can have other warriors join you in battle, just like in the previous game.
Valkyrie Elysium will launch for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC later this year.
Returnal: Ascension
The announcement for Returnal is for the newest update to the game. The latest update also adds a few features like campaign co-op and a new survival mode. “The Tower of Sisyphus” will be the new survival mode, and it looks like it will be a tower assault game.
Returnal: Ascension will launch on March 22, and it will be free for all players.
Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle R
The DioField Chronicle
Forspoken
In the trailer for Forspoken, we see Frey fight against different kinds of enemies. So, with that detail alone, we can expect the game to be action-packed. Furthermore, the game will instead launch on October 11 after its May release was canceled. Forspoken is available for the PlayStation 5 and PC.
