Far Cry 5 is Free This Weekend; Here’s How To Get It

Ubisoft is allowing new players to try out Far Cry 5 for free this weekend. Dubbed “Far Cry 5 Free Weekend”, you’ll be able to play the game for free for three days.

From May 29 to May 31, you will be able to access the full Far Cry 5 experience for free on PC. The best thing is, you can start pre-loading the game right now. The platform is Uplay, Ubisoft’s proprietary storefront.

The Americas

Preload: May 27, 10 am PDT
Start: May 29, 6 am PDT
End: May 31, 1 pm PDT

Europe & Middle East

Preload: May 27, 7 pm CEST
Start: May 29, 3 pm CEST
End: May 31, 10 pm CEST

Asia

Preload: May 28, 2 am KST / JST
Start: May 29, 10 pm KST / JST
End: June 01, 5 am KST / JST

Oceania

Preload: May 28, 3 am AEST
Start: May 29, 11 pm AEST

2. Create a new Uplay account or sign in to your existing account
3. Claim the game
4. Download it
5. Start playing

Additionally, for a limited time, you can purchase Far Cry 5 for a 75% discount. Plus, if you decide to purchase the game after playing it through the free weekend, your progression will be saved and carried forward towards your purchased full-game.

This, however, means the game is not free-to-keep forever, like GTA 5. So, once the timing’s over, you won’t be able to play the game anymore unless to decide to purchase it.
