FIFA Ultimate Team Net Revenue Up By 40%, FIFA Accounts For Majority of EA’s Net Revenue
EA has revealed their quarterly net income from all sources in the 10Q and 10K filings at US Security and Exchange Commission. The company revealed a number of details about their revenue generation from various products and platforms, and the stats showed a majority of the revenue from FIFA.
In the report, EA reveals that its Ultimate Team net revenue in H1 of the financial year 2020 has been $716m, which is up by a whopping 40% from the $509m last year, in the last year. In FY 2019, the net revenue from UT has been $1.38 billion which accounts for 28% of the total revenue share. In contrast, “Product net revenue was $568 million, primarily driven by FIFA 20, Madden NFL 20 and The Sims 4.” confirming the fact that the company has been making more from Ultimate Team than the sales of the FIFA game itself.
