Square Enix recently announced an expanded free trial for the hit MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV. What does Final Fantasy 14 Extended Free Trial Include?
The Final Fantasy 14 free trial is expanding in a big way. Soon it will include all content up through the Stormblood expansion, not just the base Realm Reborn and Heavensward expansion. This means you will be able to experience three full-fledged RPG adventures before purchasing the game.
Currently, the free trial lets you enjoy hundreds of hours of gameplay including the entire Realm Reborn storyline and the critically praised Heavensward expansion with no limits on playtime. But it’s about to get even more generous.
At a recent Final Fantasy 14 Fan Festival, the development team announced Stormblood would also be added to the free trial. By including Stormblood, the level cap will be raised to 70 and players can unlock classes like Red Mage and Samurai. Not only that, but they can play through the Stormblood storyline leading up to Shadowbringers at no cost.
Apart from the above addition, a few previous restrictions stay the same:

- 300,000 gil cap
- No auction house, trading, or retainers
- No shouting, telling, or Free Companies
- Parties
- Can join parties if invited
- Can use Duty Finder for dungeons
- No PvP, forums, Companion app, or optional purchases
So in summary, the free trial gives unlimited access to all content up to level 70, including hundreds of hours of the main story, side quests, dungeons, raids, and the ability to play all jobs. The main limitations are social/economic rather than core gameplay. Believe us when we say the new extended trial is really generous. It would easily take months for you to reach level 70.
