Fortnite: NBA 75 All-Star Emote Winner Revealed
As a part of a collaboration with the NBA’s 75th anniversary, Fortnite allowed players to vote for the NBA 75 All-Star Emote they’ll add to the game. Each player could vote up to five times daily for a week. The emote with the most votes would be added to the game later. The three that were in contention were:
- Giannis Antetokounmpo: Sitting down after hitting a dagger against the Sixers.
- Joel Embiid: The running airplane after completing a windmill dunk against the Raptors.
- Trae Young: The Ice Trae celebration, seen after his clutch three-pointer against the Orlando Magic.
After the tally of votes, Epic Games revealed that Joel Embiid’s airplane would be the next addition to the game.
They have not stated any date, only saying that players should look out for it in the future. It could take six months before we see the airplane added to the game. It is a trend seen with previous Fortnite events. That means its likely release will be in August 2022.

It’s not the first time Fortnite has collaborated with the NBA for unique in-game content. The partnership began during the 2021 NBA Playoffs when players could buy NBA uniforms for their characters. They also released themed costumes, representing some of the NBA’s top stars.

The recent NBA 75 celebration also came with new NBA outfits that players could design with their favorite team’s logo. The uniforms for this year’s All-Star Game are also purchasable for a limited time. Fortnite will likely have another NBA-related update during the Playoffs season.
