GameStop Refunding Fallout 76 Power Armor Collectible Helmets Due to Risk of Mold Exposure
Fallout 76 has been amidst controversies ever since launch. Be it the limited edition goodies, or the game itself, something or the other has been in the headlines often. It seems like things aren’t getting better for the game time any time soon.
United States Consumer Product Safety Commission has issued a warning for the customers owning the helmet. The T-51b Power Armor Helmet is constructed of ABS plastic and has a polyester/cotton blend fabric liner with elastic. The Commission states that “Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled collectible helmets and contact GameStop for a full refund and return instructions. GameStop is contacting all known purchasers directly.” The reason for this is that mold can be present on the fabric. That poses a “risk of respiratory or other infections in individuals with compromised immune systems, damaged lungs or an allergy to mold.”
This is pretty disheartening news for the fans out there. A full refund will be issued but that doesn’t sort the problem for many.
