Genshin Impact 2.2 Update
Genshin Impact just release its latest update, the 2.2 patch. This time, miHoYo has provided guiding information on the update; allowing fans to know what they can get their hands on.
“To ensure all Travelers have the best-possible Genshin Impact experience, our developers will soon begin performing update maintenance. After this is complete, the game will update to a new version.”
-miHoYo
Update and Downtime
- The update maintenance began on the 13th, from 6 AM (UTC+8), which is 6 PM EST, 11 PM BST and 3 PM PST on the 12th of October.
- Servers were back at 11 PM BST and 8 PM PST on the 12th of October, and 4 AM BST on the 13th of October.
Players were rewarded with 300 Primogems as compensation. An eligibility criterion has been set for this compensation: players who have reached Adventure Rank 5 or above before the 13th of October can claim the reward before the end of Version 2.2.
miHoYo has stated that this amounts to 60 Primogems each hour the game is down, and while players will receive 300 Primogems and any additional gems if time is extended, there will be no change to the number of gems if the update is completed earlier. Players will receive the compensation through the in-game mail, which will expire 30 days from the date it was sent.
Across platforms, players will have to update their games before starting up their game. When players install the new game client, they can continue their gaming.
