After initially getting delayed, the Spices From the West event in Genshin Impact is finally happening. In this event, Travelers need to research Seasonings. Here’s everything you need to know about Spices From the West in Genshin Impact 2.6.
How to unlock Spices From the West
To unlock the Spices From the West event, Travelers need to meet a set of requirements. If you haven’t unlocked the Serenitea Pot yet, we suggest you finish A Teapot to Call Home before the event ends so you don’t miss out on the event rewards.
But aside from Travelers having already unlocked the Serenitea Pot, they also need to unlock the Realm Dispatch option.
This function lets Travelers invite characters they obtained into their Serenitea Pot. As for the Realm Dispatch function, you need to finish the Idle Teapot Talk quest first.
Listed below are the other requirements for the event:
- Reach AR 20 or above to create Seasonings
- Reach AR 28 or above

Spices From the West stages time and date unlock
The Spices From the West event in Genshin Impact 2.6 will run over the course of twenty-four days. Moreover, there will be seven stages to play throughout the event duration.
The first stage will unlock on May 14, 2022. As for the seventh and last stage of the event, it will unlock on May 20, 2022. However, the event will run from May 14 until June 7. This means that even though you weren’t able to start or finish the stages as they are being unlocked, you have enough time to get the rewards.

How to play Spices From the West
Based on the previous 2.6 live stream, research is involved in the Spices From the West event for Genshin Impact. You will be helping a researcher from Sumeru named Nazafarin in researching seasonings.
Moreover, you can try out seasoning recipes as the event progresses. These seasonings can be used to make Delicious Dishes. And from these Delicious Dishes, you can create Fragrant Dishes.
Finally, you can have companions in your Serenitea Pot to taste the dishes you made. However, each character has a certain preference when it comes to fragrance so be mindful of who you give the dish to!
Research seasonings
Nazafarin will give you seasoning recipes that you can use to create Fragrant Seasonings. The Fragrant Seasonings in your crate can be used on Delicious Dishes which you can then give to your companions in the Serenitea Pot.
Create Fragrant Dishes
By adding the Fragrant Seasonings to Delicious Dishes you have made, it will automatically give you Fragrant Dishes. After creating Fragrant Dishes, you can then give it to companions in your Serenitea Pot. What’s more is it will increase your Companionship EXP with them.
Serenitea Pot Maintenance does not let you invite new companions
Because the maintenance on the Serenitea Pot is still ongoing, only companions you’ve invited before can try out your Dishes. Fingers crossed that the maintenance will wrap up before the event ends so we can invite more companions into our Realm.
