Genshin Impact version 2.1 was launched just a month ago, and we already have some incredible information regarding version 2.2. Last week we brought you some leaks about Thoma and Sayu’s hangout events. After all, Genshin Impact is one of the biggest games today and so it is a subject to many leaks and rumors. But what we have today is some officially announced information about Genshin Impact version 2.2. So, let’s dive straight into it.
Tsurumi Island
The final island of the Inazuma region is here! Inazuma region came with Genshin Impact 2.0 and ever since then fans have been eagerly waiting for it to be completely unlocked. Well, their wish has finally come true as Tsurumi Island will make its debut in version 2.2. The island is inside a dense fog, you might encounter some challenges while exploring this area.
You will face a number of Rifthounds and the Rifthound Whelps beasts on the island amidst the fog. In case they attack your character, all party members will get the “Corrosion” status. As a result, they will continually lose HP regardless if you have a shield or not.
Thoma
Thoma, a long-awaited character is all set to appear in Genshin Impact 2.2 as a playable character. According to a few sources, he might even be available sometime around the end of version 2.1. Thoma would be a new 4-star character from the region of Inazuma. He is a young man with short, messy blond hair, and green eyes wearing a black metal headband with gold accents.
His constellation is Rubeum Scutum and he is affiliation is towards the Kamisato Clan. He is a powerful Pyro Polearm character who possesses an incredible Elemental Burst. Thoma can provide great shields and inflict Pyro damage on enemies, even when he is off the field. There is a Pyro Vision on his belt.
Events
- Shadow of the Ancients – You will need to accomplish investigation commissions across Mondstadt, Liyue, and Inazuma to defeat an Anomalous Model Ruin Grader. This Ruin Grader can constantly draw power from an unknown source of energy to regenerate itself. You will also be able to wish characters like Tartagkia and Hu Tao.
- Labyrinth Warriors – You’ll need to venture into a mystic domain in Inazuma with “Childe” Tartaglia, and Xinyan, Liyue’s rock ‘n’ roll musician. A strange paper figure named “Shiki Taishou” will join you to provide special help and buffs.
- Tuned to the World’s Sounds – You will be able to experience a rhythm game and will get to play different styles of music with characters. These characters include Ningguang, Zhongli, Keqing, Xiao, Sangonomiya Kokomi, Kamisato Ayaka, and Raiden Shogun.
Apart from all this, you can also get a new Inazuma-themed realm layout Silken Courtyard, and more Inazuma-style Furnishing Blueprints. Also, a new furnishing type called Floating Platform will be added. Version 2.2 will also bring flowers furnishings via the Dreams of Bloom event.
