Glasya-Labolas Boss Guide | Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance
Buckle up, gamers! We’re about to walk you through every step to conquer Glasya-Labolas. This guide will not only make you formidable in battle but also enhance your overall gameplay experience. Let’s take your skills to the next level!
Facing off against Glasya-Labolas is no walk in the park. This enemy is notorious for its brutal strength and cunning tactics. It’s weak to Electric attacks, making Zio your best friend in this fight. But beware, it laughs off Force or Dark attacks, so avoid those at all costs. To up the ante, Glasya-Labolas gets two moves for every one of yours. This means you’ll need a rock-solid strategy to even the playing field. Don’t worry; we’ve got the perfect game plan.
How to Beat Glasya-Labolas
Knowing your enemy’s moves is half the battle. Glasya-Labolas has two primary skills:
- Dustoma – Chance of inflicting Mirage
- Bouncing Claw – 2-3 weak Physical attacks
Mirage messes with your team’s aim, making it harder to land hits. Bouncing Claw, on the other hand, can deliver multiple blows, potentially devastating your squad.
Building the Perfect Team
In this fight, you’ll have the invaluable support of Yuzuru and Yoko. Both characters bring essential skills to the table, but you’ll need one demon pal to complete your team.
Yuzuru
- Bufu – Weak Ice attack
- Rakunda – Lowers Defense of 1 foe by 1 rank for 3 turns
- Gram Slice – Weak Physical attack with a high Critical hit chance
Yoko
- Dia – Slight HP recovery
- Zio – Weak Electric attack
- Agi – Weak Fire attack
Zio attacks are your main weapon against Glasya-Labolas. Both you and Yoko should focus on unleashing these electro-charged moves to exploit the enemy’s weakness. Every extra turn you gain will be a significant advantage.
Employing Debuffs
Debuffs can turn the tide of battle. Yuzuru’s Rakunda skill lowers Glasya-Labolas’s defense, making it easier for your team to land powerful hits. If you’ve unlocked Aogami Type-A Essence, you can use Tarunda to weaken Glasya-Labolas’s attacks, adding another layer of protection for your team.
Countering Glasya-Labolas’s Moves
- Bouncing Claw and Dustoma are no joke. Bouncing Claw’s multiple hits can cripple your squad, so keeping Glasya-Labolas debuffed is crucial. Dustoma’s Mirage effect disrupts your aim, so prepare to counter it with Guard or support skills.
- If any team member gets hit with Mirage, an Amrita Soda will clear it up quickly. Don’t hesitate to use items to keep your team in fighting shape.
Additional Tips
Your guest fighters can also use items from your inventory. This can be a lifesaver in critical moments.
- Electric Shards for extra firepower
- Medicines or Life Stones when health is low, especially if Yoko’s MP is depleted
Coordination is key. Keep your allies healed and maintain debuffs on Glasya-Labolas. Constantly hammer away with Zio attacks and use items wisely. Efficient teamwork will lead you to victory.
Once you’ve conquered Glasya-Labolas, you’ll earn an Agility Balm. While Yuzuru heads off on a new adventure, Yoko remains by your side to assist in future battles. This victory is just the beginning—many more challenges await.
