God of War Ragnarok Review Embargo
According to OpenCritic, God of War Ragnarok’s review embargo is November 3, 9 am PT. This means outlets and personalities with an early review code will publish their reviews on the same date and time.
God of War Ragnarok’s release date is November 9, six days after its review embargo. What does such an early review embargo mean for a game?
- It simply means that the developers, Sony Santa Monica Studio, in this case, are confident about their game, and they want the world to know and talk about Ragnarok a week before its release.
- God of War, the first game in this reimagined series, was released on April 20, 2018. The embargo for the same was on April 12, eight days before its release.
- Players and critics loved God of War (2018) to the extent that it won The Game Awards’ Game of the Year in 2018.
