God of War Wins Game of The Year Award At GDC 2019
Honouring the best games of 2018, the Game Developers Choice Awards announced God of War as the Game of The Year at GDC 2019.
In the category, there were a total of five games including God of War with five honourable mentions. Amongst Marvel’s Spider-Man, Red Dead Redemption 2, Return of the Obra Dinn, Celeste and itself, God of War emerged as the winner for the GDCA Game of the Year Award.

God of War was nominated for a total of six categories, namely, Best Audio, Best Design, Best Narrative, Best Technology, Best Visual Art and the ultimate award, Game of the Year. The game didn’t win in any of the other categories, however, will take home the ultimate award of Game of the Year.
Including this, God of War has surpassed a dozen Game of the Year awards excluding those from different publications and media outlets.
