Grand Theft Auto 5 Has Shipped 95 Million Copies, Says Report
The evergreen crime-cultured open-world sensation, Grand Theft Auto 5 has shipped over 95 million copies since its release in 2013.
FYI, Rockstar Games is the developing studio behind the popular Grand Theft Auto 5. Take-Two Interactive is the parent company of Rockstar.
During Take-Two’s Q4 earnings report, they revealed that GTA 5 has shipped over 95 million copies across all platforms.
Take-Two CEO Straus took the pride to state that the sales illustrate the state of GTA 5 as the highest-rated title of the current console generation.
Adding to his words, he credited Rockstar Games for the wide success and their unparalleled skill at producing iconic entertainment experiences.
GTA 5’s hard-earning brother GTA Online has contributed a lot towards the profits of the company.
2017 saw the highest number of players logging into GTA Online. Players spent the highest amount of money for in-game purchases during the same year as well.
