GTA 3, Vice City, San Andreas Remasters Coming This Fall
GTA 3, GTA Vice City, and GTA San Andreas are the three games that have cemented Rockstar’s place as being one of the industry’s best. Three massive stories that fully distinguished the saga’s trajectory and for which the community has a great amount of respect.
As reported by Kotaku, the company is currently working on a remastering of these three works that will release in late fall for:
| PlayStation 4 | PlayStation 5 | Xbox Series X | Xbox Series S |
| PC | Google Stadia | Mobile | Nintendo Switch |
The work is already in the end phases of development, according to media sources. Moreover, the release is for the end of October or the beginning of November. The company will use the Unreal Engine to create the remaster. It will feature a mix of advanced and old-school visuals.

Rockstar Dundee
- According to reports, the interface is also being revamped, though it will retain the classic look, as the goal is to live up to the games’ original design. Rockstar Dundee, the brand’s Scottish studio, is in charge of the remastering, according to Kotaku’s sources.
- One other source told Kotaku’s Zwiezen that they’re the same people who’ll be bringing GTA V to the next-gen consoles. According to Zwiezen, the proposal was for Rockstar to provide this remaster pack as an incentive for these editions of GTA V, but the coronavirus has changed their minds.
- Additionally, if this reboot of the franchise is a huge hit, Rockstar plans to do the same thing with Red Dead Redemption. The recent moves to remove community mods from classic GTAs have become indications that these three titles will be released again.
