Halo: The Master Chief Collection Might Support ‘Uncapped FPS’ In Each Title
Brian, aka ‘ske7ch’, Community Director at 343 Industries held a Reddit AMA on r/Gaming where he and Lead Producer Michael Fahrny answered many questions related to Halo: The Master Cheif Collection and its celebrated reveal for PC. Among many answers, Brian confirmed that 343 is currently planning to support “uncapped FPS” in each title.
“Current plan is to support ‘uncapped FPS’ in each title”, Brian wrote. “But, as we move deeper into development on each title, we’ll have to determine what’s feasible within each game.”
This was a response to u/StickmanSham’s question where he asked if Halo Reach will be playable at 144 FPS and if there will be a framerate cap at all. “In regards to framerates, will Reach be playable at 144 fps?”, the user asked. “Better yet, will there be a framerate cap at all?”
Brian further commented that even if they’re going for an uncapped FPS support, “the specific level of support will vary by title”.
