Heavenly Delusion Anime release date draws near; here’s where to watch it for global viewers

The highly anticipated anime series, Heavenly Delusion, by Masakaju Ishiguro, is finally hitting screens on April 1, 2023. The Anime is also scheduled to have a pre-release premiere for promotional purposes on AnimeJapan 2023, which is to hit tomorrow March 25. Heavenly Delusion, will finally premiere on April 1st.

Production I.G., one of Japan’s most renowned studios, announced on Tuesday, October 18, 2022, that they will be adapting Masakazu Ishiguro’s well-acclaimed seinen manga series, Tengoku Daimakyō, also known as Heavenly Delusion, into an anime. The series gained immense popularity with the release of its first volume.

Directed by Hirotaka Mori, best known for his work on Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods Film as an assistant director, with character designs by Makoto Fukami and music composition by Kensuke Ushio, this critically acclaimed manga series set in a post-apocalyptic world promises an exciting adventure.

Robots raise youths in a nursery-style setting within the safety of the walls. Although life may seem monotonous, the children possess great potential and curiosity, making it akin to a utopia.

However, the world outside is a wasteland inhabited by powerful supernatural creatures, devoid of any technology. Maru and Kiruko scour the ruins of what used to be Tokyo in search of heaven, but after an extensive search, it seems that heaven may be an unattainable dream rather than a potential reality.

The official website for Masakazu Ishiguro’s Heavenly Delusion (Tengoku-Daimakyo) manga revealed more details about the upcoming anime adaptation, including the main promotional video, the premiere date of April 1, theme song artists, and additional cast members.

  • BiSH will perform the opening theme song innocent arrogance and
  • ASOBI will perform the ending theme song Daremo Karemo Dokomo Nanimo Shiranai (I Don’t Know Anyone Anywhere Anything).

New cast members include Kazuya Nakai as Robin Inazaki, Masako Isobe as Enchō, Tadashi Mutou as Sawatari, and Atsumi Tanezaki as Aoshima.

Where to watch Heavenly Delusion Anime?

The anime will stream exclusively on Disney+ worldwide and air in Japan on Tokyo MX, Hokkaido TV, RKB Mainichi Broadcasting, TV Aichi, MBS, and BS11.

The anime will have a stage presentation at the AnimeJapan 2023 event on March 25. Hirotaka Mori, who directed Joker Game and served as unit director for Psycho-Pass film, is directing the anime at Production I.G.

Makoto Fukami, known for his work on Psycho-Pass and School-Live!, is overseeing the series scripts, while Utsushita of Minakata Laboratory is the character designer. Kensuke Ushio, known for composing the music for Space Dandy, A Silent Voice, and Chainsaw Man, is composing the music for the anime.
