Hogwarts Legacy Delayed to 2023, Says Insider

BY JC Paredes 4 years AGO 2 MIN READ

Hogwarts Legacy may be delayed for the second time, this time until 2023. The news must be received with caution though. It comes from a journalist with inside information, not from the publisher (Warner Bros. Games) or the production company (Avalanche Software).

Colin Moriarty, host of the Sacred Symbols podcast, founder of Last Stand, and video game journalist made a statement on the above-mentioned show, which was picked up by VGC.

“I’m hearing behind the scenes that game is not coming out this year, and that it’s in some sort of trouble.”
– Colin Moriarty, Last Stand Founder

Controversies

The creators earlier stated that they aim to give all Wizarding World fans and gamers the finest possible experience. We heard soon after that there were problems within the Avalanche production team working with this intellectual property as a result of transphobic remarks made by JK Rowling, the book’s author.

Elements such as the possibility to generate a trans character as an avatar would have been explored by the developers. Troy Leavitt, the adventure’s lead designer, departed the studio after his personal YouTube page, where he posted anti-feminist and pro-GamerGate comments, was discovered.

2022 Major Releases

The game was last mentioned by Warner Bros. in November of last year. In 2022, Warner Bros. will launch two major Wizarding World-related films, according to Rachel Wakely, general manager. Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore is the first of these, and it will premiere on April 15, 2022. The game in question would be released later.

Since March 2021, I've worn two hats at Spiel Times: a writer and a Managing Editor. In my writing role, I've earned recognition from Wikipedia and Nev Schulman (Catfish TV Show host) for my insightful analysis and engaging narrative style. I'm passionate about all things gaming, with a keen eye for detail and a knack for uncovering hidden secrets within games. My gaming journey began at a young age, captivated by titles like Resident Evil and Tomb Raider. Today, I enjoy exploring open-world RPGs and MMORPGs, consumed by their lore and crafting theories about their narratives. I'm also drawn to the suspenseful atmosphere of horror games and the intricate narratives of crime-themed titles, bringing a unique perspective to my writing. Beyond gaming, I have a fascination with anything unexplained and chilling, a passion that often spills over into my exploration of horror games. When I'm not engrossed in a virtual world, you can find me curled up and spending time with my adorable doggy sidekick, Teemo. As Managing Editor, I'm committed to fostering a collaborative and supportive environment for our writing team. I communicate openly with my team members, addressing any content-related issues and providing guidance to help them excel.
