Pulling for characters in Star Rail takes a lot of discipline, especially if you are a F2P player who prefers saving up your Stellar Jades in order to exchange them for the Special Passes. Honkai: Star Rail just launched and for its first five-star character banner, Trailblazers can pull for Seele, a powerful Quantum DPS. There are pros and cons to each character in Honkai: Star Rail and in this article, we will be exploring Seele’s character so we can answer the question: should you pull for her or not?
Should you pull for Seele in Honkai: Star Rail?
Seele is the first ever five-star character you can summon or pull for in Honkai: Star Rail. A lot of Star Rail players were hyped to know that Seele is the first five-star character they can pull for. For the uninitiated, she has already been in the previous Honkai games. It looks like she’s playing another significant role in Star Rail, alongside other familiar faces like Bronya.
- Trailblazers have almost a month to decide whether they want to pull for her or not. Her banner started on launch day, April 26, and it will run until May 19. You will need Star Rail Special Passes in order to pull on her limited-time Warp.

Gacha games like Star Rail can make it difficult for us to save our pulls. Some want to pull based on character design while some do so because of the current meta. The problem with Seele is she fits both character design and the current meta in Honkai: Star Rail.
- During every update, Star Rail allows you to try out the featured five-star character. By doing so, you can get to know more about their abilities and their proper role in your team comps.
Pull for Seele if you need an effective main DPS unit
For Seele, she is a five-star Hunt Path character, making her a very powerful single-target DPS unit. She is arguably one of the most powerful damage dealers in Honkai: Star Rail so far. One reason you may want to pull for her is if your team comp is still missing a reliable DPS unit.
- Seele is already a viable unit at E0. However, you can make her even stronger by pulling for her Eidolons.
- Her kit is focused on taking down enemies with consecutive hits. However, keep in mind that she isn’t the type of unit that can deal damage to two or more enemies at the same time. Seele is most effective if you need to take down an Elite Enemy during battles.
- Because she is a Quantum unit, Seele has the ability to hinder and set back her opponents from performing actions. While she does this, Seele can also catch her opponents off-guard with her fast-paced attacks.

- Seele’s Passive ability is called Resurgence. Whenever she defeats an enemy, she gains an extra action that makes her a real threat against enemy teams in Honkai: Star Rail.
- Her Special Skill gives her SPD stat a boost for two turns. This is highly effective in battles wherein you and your team may feel overpowered by enemies.
- As for her Ultimate, Seele’s Quantum damage receives a significant buff. From the looks of it, it’s obvious that you won’t have a hard time defeating enemy teams in Honkai: Star Rail.
You can save for another DPS unit in Honkai: Star Rail
On the other hand, Seele also has her downsides. Given that the game has just launched, you might have trouble finding a good build for her. These are the weapons each character uses in Honkai: Star Rail.

- To make the most out of her abilities, Trailblazers will have to save enough pulls to get her five-star Light Cone. At the moment, there aren’t any good F2P weapons you can equip on Seele.
- It’s not a bad idea to save your pulls for future Warps. You can always take this time to see what kind of team comp you really want to have in the long run.

With all that being said, Seele is a great DPS unit in Honkai: Star Rail. Although it’s not a bad idea to pull for her now, you may want to save your Special Passes for another character releasing in the future.

- One character we have our eyes on is Jing Yuan. He effectively deals AoE damage, making him a great addition to our team comps. He will be in Phase 2 of Honkai: Star Rail 1.0, launching after Seele’s banner.
