How to Beat Curseblade Labirith Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree

The ghostly ballerina of Bonny Gaol, the Curseblade Labirith, might seem intimidating with its swirling blades and vanishing act, but don’t sweat it. We’ve got your back with this guide to teach you how to waltz your way to victory.

LOCATION:

Found in the depths of the Bonny Gaol. This is a late-game area, so ensure you’ve progressed enough in the main story.  Look for a cave entrance east of Fort of Reprimand.

This dancer-like enemy might look fancy, but it’s a pushover compared to other Elden Ring bosses. Its main gimmick is turning invisible by shrouding the arena in a dark mist. But here’s the kicker: it’s got the health bar of a wet napkin and hits like a feather duster.

Phase 1

  • Blade Flurry: A series of quick slashes that can be easily dodged by rolling or stepping back.
  • Jumping Slash: The Labirith leaps into the air and slams its blades down. Dodge backward to avoid getting skewered.
  • Invisibility Cloak: This is its main trick. It’ll vanish in a cloud of dark mist, but don’t panic. It’s still vulnerable to attacks.

When the Labirith is visible, go all out! Unleash your strongest attacks and combos. Don’t be afraid to get near this enemy. If it uses its invisibility cloak, keep moving and swinging your weapon. You’ll still hit it, even if you can’t see it.

Phase 2:

Once you’ve whittled down its health, the Labirith will start using its invisibility cloak more frequently. But this is still a cakewalk. It’ll still use the same attacks as before, but it’ll vanish more often. Just keep doing what you were doing, and you’ll be fine.

Don’t let the mist throw you off your game. Stay focused, keep moving, and keep attacking. If you’ve got a ranged weapon, you can use it to pepper the Labirith with damage even when it’s invisible.

Additional Tips

  • Aim for a level around 60-70, but honestly, you could probably win this fight under-leveled. Any weapon will do, but something with bleed buildup or frostbite can speed things up.
  • The Mimic Tear Ashes is good for any fight. It’ll distract the Labirith, giving you plenty of opportunities to wail on it. Whatever you’re comfortable with will work just fine. No need for anything fancy.
  • Once you’ve defeated the Curseblade Labirith, you’ll be rewarded with 100,000 Runes and the Ash of War: Curseblade Dance.
