How to defeat the Guardian of Apep’s Oasis in Genshin Impact

The Guardian of Apep’s Oasis is the newest weekly boss in Genshin Impact 3.6. The legendary Dendro Dragon appears by the end of Nahida’s Story Quest “Sapientia Orosmasdis Chapter: Act II – Homecoming.” You can defeat her every week to collect the important boss drops and talent materials.

Genshin Impact boasts multiple weekly bosses with each requiring unique techniques to apply during the battle. As for the ‘Dendro Guardian’, it is the first time that HoYoverse has introduced three-phase mechanics. Guide to defeat the Guardian of Apep’s Oasis in Genshin Impact

As mentioned earlier, Genshin Impact 3.6 introduced Guardian of Apep’s Oasis as the newest weekly boss. You need to defeat her to collect talent materials for Baizhu, Kaveh, and some of the upcoming characters in the game. Moreover, the creature has three unique transformative phases that you must be mindful of.

Here is how you can vanquish the guardian across each of her transformations in the game.

Warden of Last Oasis- Phase 1

After entering the Apep’s domain, the Dendro dragon will emerge from the swamp following a short cutscene. She will be in a corrupted state in which her body will look discolored. Now, the first phase is pretty straightforward where you need to take care of her massive HP bar. Use someone like Raiden Shogun to quickly chip down her entire health.

Additionally, you must be prepared to dodge her incoming offense in her Warden of Last Oasis form. For the most part, watch out for her slam attacks, whipping tentacles, and moving spike projectiles to keep your allies alive.

Once you defeat the Dragon’s initial phase in the game, a giant heart will drop on the ground. It will trigger her healing process throughout phase 2. Furthermore, you need to protect the “Heart of Oasis” from the spawning enemies and their onslaughts.

Hold your ground firmly, to defeat the ‘Proliferating Organisms‘ that appears in the area. Each of these mobs possesses distinctive abilities, which make the phase more challenging. Thus, you must make use of different strategies to come out victorious. Here is a list of the aforementioned organisms.

Special kind of Fungi that will try to take out the heart on the ground.
A shoot protruding from the swamp will generate a barrier for the surrounding enemies.
Buffer plant-like creatures that will increase Fungi damage.
Other plants will constantly try to attack you.
Fungi bombers will explode in contact with the heart.

You can carry Kazuha in your party to group up and eradicate the small mobs while she is in her rejuvenating form.

Once the Guardian is completely healed, she will appear on the screen after a short loading screen. This will also revive any fallen member of your party in Genshin Impact. Do keep in mind that the Dragon will be in her final and pure form.

The Warden of Oasis Prime will now deal massive damage with her every attack. Try to evade them and prepare your DPS to obliterate her final HP bar. Additionally, watch out for the onscreen message that says “Enter the Shield of Revival’s Hymn.” The warning indicates that she will unleash her ultimate ability that will ‘one-shot’ any active character. However, you can hide in either one of the three shields that pop out in the arena to stay protected.

Lastly, bring down her remaining health to claim the end reward. This Dendro Dragon boss in Genshin Impact will drop Worldspan Fern, Primordial Greenbloom, and Everamber, along with the usual elemental crystals and artifacts.
