Huge PS5 Game Reveals Coming This Thursday: PlayStation Showcase

Sony is finally ready to announce its set of first-party games coming to the PS5. Coming this Thursday is the PlayStation Showcase 2021 Broadcast which will officially show us what Sony has been working on.

The event will be live-streamed this Thursday, i.e., September 9 starting at 4 pm EST / 1 pm PDT / 9 pm BST / 10 pm CEST on both Sony’s YouTube channel and their Twitch page.

“The Showcase will weigh in at around 40 minutes and include updates from PlayStation Studios and some of the industry’s most imaginative developers, for games releasing this holiday and beyond,” writes Sid Shuman.

During last year’s Showcase, Sony showed the following games –

• Final Fantasy 16
• Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales
• Resident Evil Village
• Demon’s Souls
• And of course, the PS5 price reveal

People are anticipating a proper reveal of the next God of War game. Oh well, we’ll only find out this Thursday.

One Reddit user is speculating the following reveals –

• God of War Ragnarok Title Reveal and Trailer

• Gran Turismo 7 Gameplay and Release Date

• Spider-Man Sequel Reveal

• The Last of Us Factions II Trailer

Any kind of news related to the next-gen PSVR, however, won’t be shared on this broadcast. So, fans eager to know more about the PSVR2 will have to wait a little more.

Although the PlayStation 5 has a wide range of games at the moment, we’re lacking first-party and second-party games except for a few that takes full advantage of the console. We’re eagerly looking forward to the Broadcast and what the 15 studios have to offer.
