ICC Test Rankings: Ravindra Jadeja Becomes #1 All-Rounder

After the mind-blowing performance in the Mohali Test by Ravindra Jadeja become the number 1 all-rounder in ICC Test Rankings. Jadeja’s Player of the Match performance, where he made a career-best, unbeaten 175 with the bat and had a nine-wicket haul (9/87).

This resulted in India’s win by an innings and 222 runs against Sri Lanka in Mohali.  Before this series, Jadeja hadn’t played any International match for more than 2 months. He was suffering from some injury.

Ravindra Jadeja had become the first player in Men’s Test cricket history to score more than 150 runs and take nine wickets in a single Test. Apart from the all-rounder Rankings; Jadeja’s unbeaten 175 lifted him up to 17 places from 54th to 37th rank with the bat.

The nine wickets haul helped Jadeja to move up to 17th position with the ball. Moreover, his all-around contribution was enough for him to regain the top all-rounder spot from West Indies’ Jason Holder, who had held it since February 2021. Jadeja’s only previous time on top of all-rounders rankings was in August 2017.

Virat and Rishabh Lifted In Test Rankings

The Indian batter, Virat Kohli, is one of the greatest batsmen in the cricketing world. He has become the highest-ranked Indian batter in the latest update of the International Cricket Council (ICC) Test.

Virat scored 45 runs in the first innings against Sri Lanka in the first  Test match. It was his 100^th Test match.  With these 45 runs, Virat Kohli has now entered the top five of the ICC Test batting rankings at the number 5 spot. He now has 763 rating points to his name.

India keeper-batter Rishabh Pant entered the top 10 of the ICC Test rankings for the first time. He made a quick-fire knock of 96 against Sri Lanka in the first Test of the two-match series in Mohali. He has 723 rating points to his name.
