In the three-match ODI series, the 1st ODI took place at Ahmedabad on Sunday. India beat the mighty West Indies by 6 wickets.
Firstly India won the toss, which is also a big surprise for the Indian fans, and elected to bowl first. Since dew was going to affect the match at the latter part of the game, it was a good decision by the Indian Captain Rohit Sharma.
Spinners Dominance
West Indies didn’t get the start that they expected. Mohammed Siraj took the wicket of Shai Hope in the 3rd over of the match. After that, the Indian spinners didn’t give any chance to the West Indies players to settle down. Washington Sundar registered three wickets and Prasidh Krishna bagged two.

Yuzvendra Chahal is again back in form. He took 4 wickets and departed West Indies giant Captain Kieron Pollard on Duck. There was a hatrick opportunity also, but unfortunately, he could get that. West Indies kept on losing wickets in quick intervals. They got all out at 176.
Easy Run Chase for India
The target for 177 wasn’t big for India. The openers Rohit and Ishan were good in form. Rohit, the Indian Captain scored fabulous 60 runs. The partnership between these two was broken by Joseph. Then Virat Kohli came to bat but unfortunately, he also got out at an Individual score of 8. Rishabh Pant also got run out. Meanwhile, Ishan also loses his wicket.
So, India was in getting trouble after losing 3 wickets in quick succession. But a good partnership took place between Deepak Hooda and Suryakumar Yadav, they finished the match without losing any wickets. At last, India won 1st ODI against West Indies by 6 wickets.
