Is Daniel Radcliffe returning for Harry Potter TV reboot?

Daniel Radcliffe Harry Potter return reboot TV series

Some actors’ careers are often defined by a distinct role in their filmography, like how Harry Potter defines Daniel Radcliffe. The British actor has stepped out of the boy wizard’s shadow with mature performances in films like Swiss Army Man. However, fans can never stop asking the question: will Daniel Radcliffe return as Harry Potter anytime in the future? Well, the possibility just heightened thanks to the upcoming TV series reboot of the franchise on HBO’s Max.

Daniel Radcliffe discusses Harry Potter’s return

In an interview with Comic Book, Daniel Radcliffe teased a potential return to the wizarding world of Harry Potter. However, his answer is not something that would please Potterheads.

The 33-year-old actor has said that he is definitely not seeking a return to the series in any form. He respects the studio’s decision to start fresh without trying to force a cameo of the ‘old Harry,’ referring to himself.

Radcliffe went on to wish the team luck in their endeavor with the upcoming project. He believes that he passed on the torch long ago and that he does not physically need to pass it anymore.

However, Daniel Radcliffe has expressed that he will always be there to support any new content in the Harry Potter franchise, regardless of his potential return. Interestingly, the franchise hasn’t seen much success after his exit, no thanks to Fantastic Beasts.
