The USA’s national boxing team just received a huge boost. The sensational and controversial Jake Paul broke the news on his social media accounts that he would be the newest partner of USA Boxing. Along with that is his commitment to the team and the young group of talented boxers who are set to take the international tournament in the 2024 Paris Olympics. But, with Paul’s “partnership” with the national team, does that mean he will be one of the fighters in the Olympics?
YouTuber-turned-pro boxer takes on a bigger role
Officials of USA Boxing have revealed that Jake Paul will be joining the amateur boxers soon. The 26-year-old fighter will be heading to the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs and even accompany them to Paris as well. People are asking if Jake Paul will be fighting in the Olympics considering that he’s already made a name for himself. However, that doesn’t seem to be the case.

Paul’s role in the national team will be to “train” and “mentor” the participants in their upcoming foray against other nations. Moreover, the boxer/entrepreneur/influencer will be a huge presence on the team as he will be “amplifying” their skills while also giving them enough exposure. Oh, and did we mention that Paul and his camp will also be making behind-the-scenes content and videos throughout the national team’s 2024 Olympics journey? All of these put together would really help young boxers and the sport as a whole.
“Within just three years of becoming a professional boxer, Jake Paul has become a standout inspiration to younger generations and has emerged as one of the most exciting, influential figures in boxing history,” Mike McAtee, the executive director of USA Boxing, said in a statement.Â
Jake Paul, 26, already has an impressive record of 8 wins and 1 loss in just three years of professional boxing. The Problem Child was just coming off a nice victory over Andre August last week, a match that proved his haters and critics wrong. Although there are still some boxing fans who doubt his skills, there’s no denying that Paul can definitely fight. It would be an amazing sight if Paul would represent the USA in future tournaments. But, in 2024, he still has to focus on being a mentor rather than being a mentee. It’s been a long time since the United States managed to secure a gold medal in boxing. Who knows what could be Paul’s effect on the up-and-coming Olympic boxers?
