Results and Match Breakdown

Jake Paul entered the bout with a record of 7-1 and faced off against Andre August who also has an impressive 10-1-1 record to his name. The Problem Child took advantage of Andre August’s lack of early attack as he landed some heavy jabs on the 35-year-old boxer. It clearly showed how much his skills had evolved.

August tried to retaliate by throwing a few punches but they were not effective against the social media star who quickly pulled away into a defensive stance. Moments later, Jake Paul came back with a scary and powerful right uppercut which sent his opponent to the canvas, as the 4,000 fans at the venue cheered on.

Andre August almost got back up around the time the referee finished counting to ten. However, he faltered again and fell down, giving the well-deserved victory to Jake Paul. The fight ended at 2:32 of the first round, marking his first win against a pure boxer, following his split decision loss to Tommy Fury.

Jake Paul’s Post-Fight Comments

After the fight, Jake Paul opened up on DAZN about facing Andre August. The social media star claims that he had predicted (and manifested) a first-round knockout in favor of him. He spoke about bringing his old ‘Problem Child’ persona as he joked that he’d been too nice to people by letting them go into later rounds.
