Jensen Ackles’ Soldier Boy confirmed to be appearing in The Boys’ spinoff series Gen V

The Boys’ fans are in for a treat! The showrunners just teased the viewers ahead of the premiere of the show’s spinoff series, Gen V. The teaser that Jensen Ackles will reprise his role as Soldier Boy (with a cameo on Gen V) has been making a lot of noise on the internet. With this kind of information, we can’t blame fans for feeling ecstatic!

Just recently, The Boys’s executive producers revealed via Entertainment Weekly that Jensen Ackles is indeed returning for another run as Soldier Boy. The showrunners posted a photo in which Ackles donned the suit again while flashing a peace sign or perhaps a sign for compound V. Either way, this news has already made fans more eager to see Gen V by the end of this month.

Unfortunately, as a teaser, more details about Soldier Boy‘s cameo is still unknown. Nobody knows for sure which episode the problematic Captain America ripoff will appear. If we’re going to speculate, Soldier Boy’s cameo could be in a flashback episode given that he was kept in a cryo chamber at the end of The Boys season 3. With Ackles’ photo circulating online, the idea of his character returning in The Boys season 4 is nearing 100% possibility. Aside from Soldier Boy, fans of the series also would like to think Homelander will be making a cameo in Gen V. Either the team captain wreaks havoc inside Godolkin University and tests the students or he chooses amongst the youngsters who’s going to be the next member/s of The Seven.

Will The Boys Storyline Crossover With Spin-Off Gen V?

Gen V follows a group of supe students at Godolkin University who are aspiring to join Vought’s The Seven someday. Hormones and Compound V, what could go wrong, right? Well, the official trailer just showed how diabolical and messy it’s gonna get in Gen V. According to Eric Kripke, Gen V’s storyline will cross with The Boys. It’s more likely to be somewhere within the events of The Boys season 3. In addition to that, whatever takes place during the first season of Gen V could potentially set up the fourth season of The Boys.

The cast of Gen V includes another Chilling Adventures of Sabrina actors Jaz Sinclair and Chance Perdomo, as well as Lizze Broadway, Shelley Conn, Maddie Phillips, London Thor, Derek Luh, Asa Germann, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Sean Patrick Thomas, Marco Pigossi, Clancy Brown, Jason Ritter, and Alexander Calvert. Characters from The Boys such as A-Train (Jessie T. Usher), The Deep (Chace Crawford), Ashley Barett (Colby Minifie), Adam Bourke (P.J. Byrne), and the political supe Victoria Neuman (Claudia Doumit) will also be gracing us with their presence. Amazon will drop the first three episodes of Gen V on September 29, exclusively on Prime Video.
