Just a few episodes into the third season, but Amazon has already confirmed that they are picking up ‘The Boys’ for Season 4. While there is no announced schedule for the release and the plot yet of the next season, the show’s frontrunner, Eric Kripke has already expressed his desire to cast actors who he worked with in the past – Jared Padalecki and Jeffrey Dean Morgan.
Recently, Eric Kripke told the media that Morgan is already in talks as a new addition to The Boys in Season 4. During an interview, he said that he and Morgan are in constant contact as they are trying to work out a role for the premiered actor.
“Jeffrey Dean Morgan is a superfan of the show, so he and I are talking. We’re trying to figure out something for season four. Nothing is finalized yet, but he and I are chatting and e-mailing and seeing if we can make it work with his busy schedule. So, stay tuned on that.”
Aside from Morgan, Kripke is also optimistic that he can include another ‘Supernatural’ actor, Jared Padalecki, in an already star-studded cast of ‘The Boys.
“I would put Jared on the show in a heartbeat. I mean, he’s really busy with his empire over there in Austin, but if it was willing to play, I would put him on the show in a second.”

The Winchesters Reunite in The Boys?
We all know that Jensen Ackles had already joined the show as the most-anticipated character in Season 3 as “Soldier Boy”. Before that, he was famously known as Dean Winchester in Kripke’s horror-fantasy TV series ‘Supernatural’.
On the other hand, Jared Padalecki played Sam Winchester, Dean’s younger brother in the same show. Their estranged father, Henry Winchester, was portrayed by the veteran Jeffrey Dean Morgan. Supernatural went on to become a huge success, getting 15 seasons in more than 15 years of a television run on CW.
Moreover, Morgan also took a huge role in the zombie series “Walking Dead” as Negan. This makes him a great fit for The Boys as he is already used to the debauchery in both Supernatural and Walking Dead.
However, there is no assurance that the Winchester Boys will be having a reunion in ‘The Boys’ (pun intended). Despite that, Supernatural fans are eager to see Padalecki and Morgan as newcomers to the superhero satire series. We saw how great Jensen’s impact was on Season 3. Now, with the three of them together, there’s no telling how huge that would be. If so, which character do you see the two of them play as?
In one of our previous articles, we talked about which supes in The Boys comic series we want to see come the fourth season. One of which was Tek Knight, the Iron Man parody of the comics without the morals of Tony Stark. Do you think Jeffrey Dean Morgan can take the helm as Tek Knight in ‘The Boys’? We sure hope so!
Meanwhile, another Supernatural actor, Jim Beaver, has already joined ‘The Boys’ back in Season 2.
Beaver, who portrayed the Winchester brothers’ reliable guardian Robert “Bobby” Singer also happens to play the character in The Boys with the same name. In Season 2, we saw Beaver as Senator Robert Singer who had affiliations with Madelyn Stillwell, Stan Edgar, and Vought. In the Season 3 finale, Robert Singer was shown to be running for Presidency alongside Victoria Neumann as his Vice President. This means it all could lead to a bigger problem. Unfortunately, we’ll have to wait for Season 4 to see what’s more to come in The Boys.
The show’s frontrunner, Eric Kripke, surely loves to add his former Supernatural actors in ‘The Boys’. With Jim Beaver and Jensen Ackles already in the cast, it’s very likely we will be seeing the Winchesters back in action. Well, at least as different characters now.
