Jordan Cox’s remains found, memorial service to be held on April 8

Jordan Cox's body found after two weeks

Jordan Cox’s family is in mourning as Wyandotte police discover her human remains in Lincoln Park. The 27-year-old had gone missing last month, leading her family to file a police report and initiate a social media campaign.

Cox was last seen on March 26 near Eureka Road, south of Wyandotte. According to reports, she had left home on March 26 between 3 pm and 5 pm to help her father move boxes to his apartment.

The family is currently, preparing for her funeral. The funeral will take place on August 8, at Molnar Funeral Homes Nixon Chapel. The news of Jordan’s passing was uploaded to Facebook by her aunt, Kim Cox. Kim wrote:

“It’s with a heavy heart and great sadness that I must pass on that my niece Jordan has passed away my beautiful niece is now resting with the angels.”

All we know about Jordan Cox’s disappearance

Jordan Cox was a 27-year-old, 5’5″ tall woman with long brown hair and green eyes. According to the missing person poster, Jordan had numerous tattoos on her body, including a butterfly, an Indian girl, a dreamcatcher, and a Hakuna Matata.
She left her home on foot in black and white leggings, black hoodie, and white tennis shoes.

Upon Jordan’s disappearance, the family had initially presumed that she had gone somewhere with her friends. However, as a week passed by with no communication, they decided to reach out to the authorities on March 31. In addition to the police, the family went door to door in the neighborhood looking for Jordan, visiting hospitals and the morgue. They even visited Jordan’s ex-partner in hopes to find a lead.

Jordan’s aunt told CBS News:
“When we text her she responds. We’ve texted her and she’s not responded for eight days. We’ve never been through anything like this.”
As the search progressed, police found Jordan’s physical remains at a house in Lincoln Park. The cause of her death is still unknown.

The family set up a GoFundMe page to afford Jordan’s funeral. Rhonda Lugo set the page up on behalf of Jordan Cox’s brother Josh and it has successfully collected over $7000 with 87 donations.
Wellwishers are waiting for the official medical examiner to shed more light on Jordan’s death.
